Caroline’s Classes are about educating the dancers on the connection between their cellular(internal) health and physical athletic performance each day. So much of how we fuel our bodies is a direct relationship to how we feel physically and mentally. The students will leave having a clear understanding of concepts like oxidative stress, microbiome, systemic inflammation, and more. Understanding the difference between Micronutrition and Macro nutrition and where true athletic gains will come from. The dancers will leave with tools to prepare them for weekly training in and out of the studio and long competition weekends. Students, Teachers, and parents will Learn, Integrate and Retain these concepts with guided handouts, videos, and we will also be getting some utensils out. When we understand how REAL functional food affects our mind, body and spirit and then turn this into a daily practice, our athletic and Human performance soars.

DANCE|PREHAB Movement Fundamentals is a movement program informed by and curated from our experience working with youth and adolescent dancers in the physical therapy, training, and educational spaces. This movement experience is an opportunity to give dancers a safe space to connect and explore what it means to build strong and efficient human movement qualities, sprinkled with some games, play, and fun! Before we are dancers, we are human, and the more we work with young dancers, the more we see the need to develop solid human foundations and movement education - to squat, hinge, push, pull, and jump, with all the various movement dynamics that dance will ask of the human. Dancers are led through a series of movements to begin learning ways to benefit performance while acknowledging the human behind the dancer. To us, training is about the human first, in order to build movement qualities to carry into their artistic exploration.
